In 2020 I was asked to do a single book illustration for Cherokee author, Traci Sorell. That started me on an amazing new adventure! Book illustrating has been a dream of mine for many years, but just never had really explored it. Although I had been an artist for over 25 years, I had never illustrated a book. That is, until this small project happened. After telling Traci about this dream, she shared my name and info with others. Within a month, Harper Collins Children's Books reached out and the whirlwind of book illustrating began! Since then, I have fully illustrated 3 middle school children's books, done 2 single images for a couple of different books and just finished a large adult book with 62 illustrations. I am now working on my first grade school age illustration job. I absolutely love it and am excited to see where this journey leads!
